Gila Ogle is thrilled to be part of the team as Head of School at Silver Academy. She brings experience as an educator, leader, and advocate for student success. Gila is deeply committed to fostering a nurturing and empowering learning environment that values academic excellence, moral development, and civic participation.
Throughout her career, Gila has demonstrated a passion for building strong partnerships between schools and families, recognizing the vital role that collaboration plays in a student's overall success. At Silver Academy, Gila prioritizes creating a positive school culture where every student feels valued, supported, and inspired to reach their fullest potential.

Niema Schertz​

Niema Schertz, Director of Admissions

Niema Schertz grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland where she attended a Jewish day school. She later graduated from Parsons School of Design in New York City. She has one child at the Silver Academy and 2 graduates of The Silver Academy. Her husband David Schertz is an alumnus and both of her in-laws Rabbi Chaim Schertz and Reva Schertz have taught at the school in the past. Niema has enjoyed volunteering at the school and being part of the PTA for a number of years.
