Physical Education

Our physical education program is designed to develop and strengthen the physical, social and emotional needs of children. Students are encouraged to participate in and enjoy a variety of team sports such as basketball, soccer, volleyball, indoor hockey and various other fitness activities including cooperative games. The activities provide a socially comfortable atmosphere in which students can engage in sports and fitness programs within a supportive environment. Through the program, students develop fundamental and age appropriate skills, physical, social and emotional growth, learn personal responsibility, good sportsmanship, as well as a feeling of enjoyment and self-accomplishment. We are privileged to make our home in the Harrisburg Jewish Community Center (JCC), a modern facility with expansive views of the Susquehanna River. The JCC is equipped with a full size gymnasium, heated swimming pool and well-maintained outdoor play areas. This wonderful building allows our children to have a great time at play on days when the sun is shining and even on days when the weather does not co-operate
