George Krevsky

George Krevsky is the son of Herman z'l and Fannie Krevsky. George Krevsky opened his namesake art gallery in San Francisco's Union Square in 1992. The gallery specializes in 20th century American art, Social Realism and Judaica. George Krevsky has been in the art business in San Francisco since 1978. where he served as President of the San Francisco Art Dealers Association. After a Work Study program as Director of Youth Activities at the Harrisburg JCC, he spent the next 15 years of his career as a social worker in Jewish Community Centers in Fort Worth, Texas, Nashville , Tennessee and San Francisco, California after obtaining an MSW degree from Yeshiva University Wurzweiler School of Social Work. Krevsky studied art at Penn State University and graduated from Elizabethtown College. After raising funds through art exhibitions at the non-profits and organizing theatrical programs at the JCC’s he transitioned into a career as an Art Dealer and theater producer. His production credits include “An Evening With Golda Meir”, Nuts” and TomFoolery:the music of Tom Lehr”. Krevsky serves on the Regional Council of the New Israel Fund where he was honored with the Guardian of Democracy Award, and the Board of Hebrew Free Loan, and was a past member of the San Francisco Jewish Film Festival Board of Directors.
