Gerald Abrams

Gerald Abrams has been a television producer for more than four decades, with credits like Nuremberg, Florence Nightingale, Flesh and Blood, Found Money, and The Gift, among many others. Abrams has been nominated for two Emmys. Abrams and his wife Carol Abrams z'l, who was a Peabody Award winning producer and co-author of Shared Memories, both attended Penn State. They have two children: Tracy Rosen, a screenwriter who has written TV movies and for series television and J. J. Abrams, director of Mission Impossible, Star Trek, and now Super 8. Abrams has five grandchildren. But those of us in Harrisburg best remember Gerald as the son of the late Samuel D. and Lillian K. Abrams z'l, who operated the Army & Navy Store on Broad Street.
