Lillian RappaportLillian Rappaport is a native of Harrisburg, PA and is a graduate of the Rabbi David L. Silver Yeshiva Academy and Susquehanna Township High School. Her Bachelor of Arts degree, with majors in French and Spanish and minor in Hebrew, is from the University of Pittsburgh. She holds a Master of Arts in Education from New York University as well as a Master of Arts in Religious Education from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. She has done both undergraduate and graduate work at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. In 2010, she received an honorary doctorate from Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion.
Lillian began serving as the Educational Director of Temple Ohev Sholom in 1994. Since 1995, Lillian has served as the Jewish Education Director at the Jewish Federation of Greater Harrisburg. Her responsibilities at the federation include directing its resource center, Hebrew High School, and Holocaust educational programming. It is her honor and pleasure to have served as a volunteer teacher at the Silver Academy for the past 13 years, teaching middle school French, Spanish and Holocaust Studies. [email protected] |
