Social Studies
The K-8th grade Social Studies program integrates thematic topics with other pertinent subject matter in General and Judaic Studies. Units of study include American and Jewish history, multi-cultural studies, map skills, Pennsylvania history, and current events. The program examines the geography, history and economics of the various regions of the United States and the world, using a thematic approach which is integrated with the Language Arts program. In eighth grade, students write an advanced-level term paper that involves the cumulative skills learned in Social Studies.
