Glenn Hart
Hello! My name is Glenn Hart, and I teach general studies to fifth grade (language arts, social studies, mathematics) and sixth grade (language arts and social studies.) This is my fifth year teaching at the Silver Academy. I spent many years prior to this teaching children and adults both secular and religious topics in multiple education settings.
I am also the faculty advisor to Student Council and Drama Club. Outside of teaching Mondays through Fridays at the Silver Academy, I am currently in my seventh year teaching Sunday mornings at Beth El Temple Religious School. Prior to teaching, my professional career included stints in book publishing, information technology, state government, and business and technical writing. I frequently draw upon my prior career experiences to lend "real world relevance" to my teaching. I try to instill in my students a love of learning and the realization that learning is an exciting, lifelong pursuit. I hold a Master of Education degree in Elementary Education from Temple University, with additional certifications in middle school English, high school English, and middle school social studies. Please contact me anytime via e-mail at [email protected], or by telephone through the school office (717-238-8775). |
